Manic Monday

#1- How was your Sunday? Mine was suuuuperrrr. Mother’s Day started with flowers and chocolate and funny cards from my kids, gravitated towards a gorgeous brunch at my sister’s house, and ended with $2.99 (SCORE!) Mother’s Day Margaritas and Mexican food.

When it came time to order dinner, I started to tell our server what my littlest guy would have but Evan totally shut me down with an, “I CAN DO IT!!!”

Right before that Evan had spent at least 10 minutes saying the word “quesadilla” all wrong on purpose because he thinks it’s funny to be embarrassing. I think that’s a boy thing. But when he insisted on ordering, he got his brain scrambled and he asked for a steak “kway-suh-dill-uh”, and then immediately clapped his little hand over his mouth as his cheeks flushed red.

Highlight of my evening.

#2- These people MADE MY DAY. I love them. This is how we should live life all the time.

#3- Yes. Those are more cupcakes. And sprinkles. I couldn’t help it.

#4- It’s finally warming up here in North Carolina! Except I think it’s gonna be like 39 tomorrow morning. What in the world. I’m definitely not complaining though because I’ll blink and it will be August again which around here means passing out on the front lawn from the sweltering humidity while walking to the mailbox. Anyway, the point is that warm weather = less clothes and THAT means extra workouts are essential. What are you doing to tone up and slim down for summer?

I’m totally into Blogilates; it makes a huge difference and I don’t wanna die like with the Insanity workout. But I like to change things up. Give me suggestions!

#5- DRAW A STICKMAN. He does amazing things. You won’t regret it.

#6- This week’s shot of my crazy girl, Norma Jean.

Norma likes to play cars with Evan. He built a garage out of this Zappo’s box which she promptly commandeered. Then she proceeded to bat all the cars out of the garage and across the room like kitty Godzilla.
